Tropeiro Grill brings Brazilian cooking to Shop 54 in Queens Court, just off Auckland's central Queen Street. The compact grill combines a meal menu with active pickup and delivery, making its food available for a quick city-centre lunch as well as a larger order at home. Grilled beef is an important part of the identity, but the selection reaches well beyond steak through slow-cooked dishes, rice bowls, burgers, snacks and Brazilian sweets.
The Brazilian Feast is the clearest introduction for someone who wants several traditions on one plate. Picanha is served with feijoada, arroz carreteiro, vinaigrette salsa and farofa, moving from grilled beef to beans, seasoned rice and toasted cassava flour. Feijoada can also be ordered as its own meal: black beans, sausage and pork are slow cooked together, then accompanied by rice, farofa, sautéed greens and a sharp vinaigrette to balance the stew's richness.
The traditional section gives meat a range of treatments rather than relying on one grill cut. Picanha and rump sit beside steak topped with egg, grilled chicken, chicken parmigiana and slow-cooked shredded beef brisket. For a more contained meal, rice bowls feature barbecue beef rice, beef stew, stroganoff or feijoada. Burgers and rolls then repurpose familiar fillings, with brisket, chicken and several cheeseburger combinations available for diners after something handheld.
Smaller items and desserts make it possible to assemble a lighter order or add distinctly Brazilian extras. Coxinha, pão de queijo and cassava chips sit together in the snack section, offering alternatives to standard fries or onion rings. Brigadeiro, passionfruit mousse and pudim cover chocolate, fruit and caramel-led finishes, while guaraná and passionfruit juice carry the theme into the drinks list. Those details give the grill character beyond its headline steaks.
