Cheese boards slow the pace down, and larger platters bring together combinations such as ribs and wings, dumplings or a broad selection of hot finger food. Takeaway is available, but the range makes particular sense around a table, where several dishes can be ordered in rounds as the occasion develops.

Weekly creations give the chefs room to move beyond the permanent pub framework. Lamb’s fry with bacon and onions in rich gravy leans into traditional comfort, while sweet-and-sour pork introduces pineapple and roasted peppers. A warm salmon and potato salad offers a lighter direction, and chicken, bacon and mushroom pasta provides a creamy, substantial main. The garden bar seats about 120, using shelter and umbrellas in summer and infrared heating in cooler weather, with easy access from the car park. A separate function room can seat up to 100 for buffet events and provides its own bar facilities, natural light and conference practicality. Between those spaces and the ordinary restaurant, groups can choose how formal they want an occasion to feel, from a shared platter in the garden to a fully arranged celebration or work event.
