Breakers Taradale is the group's smaller Napier-area branch, set in the Gloucester Street retail strip and run by owner Zac Murray. The branch format is casual and family oriented, with daily service, table bookings and takeaway or delivery alongside the dining room. Its compact setting keeps the atmosphere informal while the menu remains broad enough for a mixed group.

The menu begins with straightforward sharing plates such as breads, shrimp, squid and wedges, then moves into the hearty dishes long associated with the brand. Chicken Diane, roast pork and fish and chips sit beside bacon and mushroom pasta, schnitzel, pork ribs and lamb shank. That mix makes the classics section useful for a table divided between pub-style favourites, pasta and slow-cooked comfort food.

Grill choices provide the most traditional restaurant centrepiece. Sirloin and scotch steaks can be ordered alongside surf and turf or a mixed grill, while a large burger section takes the meal in a more casual direction. Beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian burgers each have their own combinations, giving diners genuine alternatives rather than simply changing the protein inside one standard build.

Dessert stays firmly in family-restaurant territory, ranging from sundaes and chocolate brownie to banana fritter, sticky date pudding and chocolate cake. A dedicated children's selection means younger diners do not have to rely on reduced versions of the adult mains. Together with the broad savoury menu and flexible ordering options, that makes the Taradale branch practical for an uncomplicated group meal.
