11 Dim Sum Menu

11 Dim Sum operates as both a daytime yum cha destination and an evening Chinese restaurant in Dannemora, closing on Tuesdays and opening for lunch and dinner on the remaining days. At lunch, diners can scan the table's QR code or mark an order sheet, an approach that lets a group add baskets and plates in waves. The broad selection rewards sharing, especially when different textures arrive together.

Dumplings form the centre of the experience but do not follow a single formula. Classic prawn, coriander-and-prawn, chive-and-prawn and black-truffle prawn versions sit beside pork-and-prawn siu mai and soup dumplings. Chicken feet, pork ribs, beef tripe, tendon and meatballs extend yum cha into traditional steamed and braised territory, while prawn, beef and fried-dough rice rolls add their own soft, slippery contrast.

Buns and fried dishes make an equally varied second wave. Barbecue pork, baked pork, pineapple custard and molten custard buns cover savoury and sweet fillings; pork pastry, spring rolls, fried taro, prawn toast, squid and glutinous-rice dumplings bring crisp shells and pastry into the mix. Sesame wontons and crispy wontons show how one filling can move between chilli-rich and crunchy preparations.

The menu expands beyond small plates with roast duck, barbecue pork and crisp roast pork, then fried rice, beef rice noodles, wonton noodle soup and stir-fried noodles for a larger shared meal. Gai lan, choy sum, bok choy and green beans keep vegetables present. Egg tarts, tofu pudding, sesame balls, durian pastry and coconut cake offer several endings, from warm custard to chewy or delicately flaky sweets.
