Heroes Burgers has served the Christchurch community from its Hills Road base since 2018. The Edgeware venue welcomes diners in as well as handling takeaway and delivery, and it keeps serving into the evening. Customers can settle in for a burger, collect a casual group order or take a late meal home.
Smashed beef is the central theme, presented through burgers with noticeably different personalities. The Smash Burger keeps the idea direct, the Kiwi Burger brings a local classic into the range, and the Smashed Onion King puts onion at the front. Smoked Smash and versions with several patties turn the same griddled foundation into richer or larger choices for diners after something more substantial.
The kitchen does not make every order begin with beef. Chook Fil'A, Amazing Chicken and Chicken Caesar give the poultry range several styles of its own, while a black bean burger provides a dedicated vegetarian route. Pork, lamb and steak sections widen the selection further, helping a mixed table choose across several meats without leaving the burger format.
Sides turn a single burger into a fuller feast, with meat on chips, wings, cheesy chips, onion rings and chicken strips among the options. Family boxes and children's choices simplify larger orders, while desserts and thick shakes provide a natural finish. Heroes Burgers is therefore at its best when diners want the freedom to keep things simple or build a generous spread around the main event.
