Mithaiwala brings an entirely vegetarian Indian menu to Karangahape Road, serving from morning into the evening every day. The restaurant is designed for more than a quick sweet purchase: diners can assemble a full meal from regional breads, curries, thalis and street-food snacks, then finish at the mithai counter. Pickup and delivery complement the in-person service for an easy lunch or dinner at home.
Chaat is one of the menu's most varied sections. Samosa chaat layers broken pastry with chutneys and yoghurt, while aloo tikki chaat begins with crisp potato patties. Papri chaat adds wafers, chickpeas and tamarind, bhel puri combines puffed rice with vegetables, and pani puri delivers seasoned fillings inside hollow shells. Kachori chaat and vada pav extend the street-food theme through flaky pastry and a spiced potato bun.
Thalis make the larger meal choices straightforward. A regular plate combines two curries with naan and rice, while the larger version increases both the curry and bread selection. Vegan and gluten-free set meals provide clearer paths for specific diets, and regional banquets add extras such as samosa, jalebi, pickle or lassi. Individual choices range from chole bhature and Amritsari kulcha to kadai paneer, mattar paneer, Rajasthani kadhi and vegetable Manchurian.
The sweets selection is integral to the restaurant rather than an afterthought. Rasmalai offers a chilled milk-based finish, while gulab jamun, kalakand and milk cake move through different textures. Motichur laddoo and kaju barfi can be ordered alongside mixed boxes for sharing or taking away. With roti, paratha, tandoor choices and Indo-Chinese dishes supporting the savoury side, Mithaiwala works equally well for a snack, a complete thali or a box of mithai.
