Fush Wigram is a dine-in home of the whānau-owned Fush business, operating at The Landing since 2016. It serves the familiar fish-and-chip format in a restaurant setting, with tables for eating in as well as phone and online pickup. Daily lunch and dinner hours make it more than a late-night takeaway stop, and the branch identity is distinct from Fush's airport, food-truck and stadium operations. The tone is deliberately welcoming and energetic, but the menu is broad enough for a group to build a full meal rather than collect a single parcel of chips.
Fish remains the anchor. The business says every piece of ika it serves is line caught, and the menu offers both a general fish-and-chips plate and Chatham Island blue cod. Either can be battered or crumbed, then served with chips, fresh lemon and tartare sauce. That simple format keeps the fish visible instead of burying it under extras. It also provides the clearest expression of what Fush is trying to do: give a New Zealand classic careful sourcing, cook it to order and make it suitable for eating at a restaurant table.
The rest of the menu is deliberately exuberant. Boneless fried chicken comes with chipotle or chilli-maple sauce, while sweet honey-and-garlic and spicy buffalo treatments take it in different directions. Burgers cover battered fish, fried chicken, beef and an onion-ring-packed vegetarian option. Salt-and-pepper squid, Cajun shrimp, seafood chowder, popcorn cauliflower and kūmara chips let a table add smaller dishes around the main order. Cinnamon doughnuts and thick shakes continue the playful mood for anyone who wants a sweet finish.
Fush's kaupapa is as visible as its food. The business frames hospitality through manaakitanga, works to normalise te reo Māori and links its sourcing and compostable packaging to kaitiakitanga. Dietary service is handled with similar clarity: the restaurant uses a dedicated gluten-free fryer and can adapt fish, chicken and many burgers, while openly noting that gluten remains onsite and that it is not Coeliac NZ accredited. That combination of generosity and candour gives the Wigram restaurant a character that reaches beyond the usual fish-and-chip shop model.
