Little Mez occupies a hidden basement beneath its sister restaurant Margo's, with the entrance tucked into Cow Lane behind Queenstown Mall. The low-lit underground room is intimate enough for a date yet can also be booked for tastings, cocktail classes and private gatherings. Its personality comes from a tight connection between agave spirits and Mexican-inspired food rather than the broad all-day format of a conventional restaurant.

Tequila and mezcal lead the drinks programme, with more than 80 agave spirits giving curious drinkers room to compare styles. A set of half-size Little Cocktails makes exploration easier, covering miniature martinis, a Negroni, a Cosmopolitan and an Oaxacan Old Fashioned. The margarita list then moves from classic and Tommy's versions to smoky mezcal, savoury brine, coconut and strawberry, or coriander and chilli combinations.

Signature cocktails carry that experimental approach further. Pineapple Barbacoa combines pineapple rum, mezcal, agave, bitters and smoked rosemary, while Coconut Chiappas turns coconut tequila and cold brew into an espresso-martini variation. A Mezcal Negroni Sour balances smoke with Campari, blueberry and citrus. Familiar classics remain available, so guests can stay with a Paloma, Martini or Old Fashioned if the more elaborate creations are not the mood.

The food is designed to sit naturally beside the bar list. Salsas with tortilla chips, smashed guacamole and queso fundido build an easy sharing order, while tuna ceviche, grilled corn ribs and Coca-Cola barbecue ribs offer more substance. A cashew-based queso gives vegan diners a dedicated option, and churros with Mexican hot chocolate and raspberry crumble finish the menu on a sweet note. Taco Hour and larger food packages extend the choice for groups and events.
