Mama Loco brings the easygoing energy of a modern cantina to Westfield Albany. Now independently owned, the restaurant pairs booth seating and graphic street art with a bright bar and a covered, heated terrace. The spaces can shift from a casual North Shore lunch to an evening with friends or a full celebration, while the kitchen's street-food-of-the-Americas theme keeps the mood playful rather than formal.

Sharing is built into the first part of the menu. Guacamole and corn chips sit alongside warm chilli con queso, crisp polenta chips and fried chicken dusted with Tajin. Elote-style corn ribs arrive with burnt-onion crema, while pork ribs bring three-chilli barbecue sauce and charred pineapple salsa. A larger platter gathers wings, fried chicken, corn ribs, beef wontons, fries, chips and dips for tables that would rather sample widely than order in strict courses.

Tacos cover several distinct textures and flavours: jackfruit with beet chutney, Tajin fried chicken, pork chicharron with pineapple salsa, prawns with mango crema, and birria beef with its own dipping sauce.
