One Good Horse Parklands is the family-restaurant half of The Turf on Inwoods Road, with its own dining identity and a room inspired by the golden age of horse racing. Early-twentieth-century details and references to famous racehorses give the setting its theme, while a multi-level children's playground, swings, slide and television make the practical priorities equally clear. The restaurant is built for families who want a proper meal without expecting younger diners to remain seated throughout the visit.

Starters cover both familiar pub sharing and a few richer options. Pull-apart garlic loaf and flatbread work as easy table food, while crispy squid, fried chicken in several sauces and pork-belly bites add stronger savoury flavours. Creamy garlic prawns arrive with house-made focaccia for the sauce. Larger plates continue through seafood chowder, chicken parmigiana, market fish and chips, pork ribs, red-wine lamb shank and a slow-roasted lamb shoulder intended for two.

Burgers, pizza and grill cooking form a second route through the menu. Beef patties come in classic and Kiwi versions, chicken can be fried or grilled with pineapple and bacon, and a house-made vegetable patty gives the burger list a meat-free anchor. Pizza bases are made in house, with meat-lovers, spicy chicken, Moroccan lamb and Margherita among the combinations. Canterbury Angus rump, fillet and rib-eye steaks are served with a choice of sides and sauces.

The Junior Drivers menu includes chicken tenders, spaghetti and meatballs, fish and chips, pizza, a cheeseburger and a platter combining chicken with fruit and vegetables. Sundaes, apple pie, cheesecake and salted-caramel brownie extend the family meal into dessert. Regular steak, parmigiana, burger, pizza and fish nights sit alongside quizzes and live entertainment, so the venue can shift from an early dinner with children to a more social neighbourhood evening.
