Burger Culture has been part of Trafalgar Street since 2017, bringing together the founders' connections to Nelson and Bristol. That meeting of places is expressed through a casual burger house built around art, beer, shakes and welcoming service. The business remains family run and trades daily, retaining the social character implied by its earlier Culture Burger Joint & Beer House name while placing the burger menu at the centre of the current brand.
The beef range is playful in name but precise in construction. Cheazy-E keeps the focus on beef, cheese, pickles, pickled onion and burger sauce, while Run B.M.C. adds tomato and lettuce. Spice Up Your Life sharpens the formula with jalapeño salsa, coriander and crisp shallots. Notorious is the darkest, richest build, using a smoky black bun around beef, cheese, bacon, grilled onions, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise and pickles.
Other proteins are treated as distinct burgers rather than minor substitutions. Hennifer Lopez pairs chilli-and-lime grilled chicken with avocado sour cream, red cabbage and chipotle mayonnaise, while Ranchin on the Ceilin combines buttermilk fried chicken, bacon, cheese and ranch. Lambo No.5 uses 12-hour braised lamb with herb slaw, and Morning Dory gives panko John Dory a pea-and-wasabi mayonnaise. Tofugees layers sesame fried tofu with spiced satay, microgreens and vegan mayonnaise.
Sides let a table choose between the straightforward and the indulgent. Straight-cut or curly fries sit alongside slaw and salad, while hash sticks, macaroni-and-cheese bites and popcorn chicken provide more substantial sharing options. The children's meal can be built around beef, chicken or tofu and comes with fries and a soft drink, so younger diners are not limited to one token choice. Shakes and beer complete the original burger-house idea and make the menu work for both families and an informal night out.
