Golden Time Restaurant & Bar runs lunch and dinner service from its Main Street dining room, with daily yum cha giving the daytime visit a character of its own. The restaurant is set up for meals shared across the table, and a function room, banquet menus and private dining make that approach practical for family gatherings or larger groups. Takeaway remains available, but the breadth of the menu and table-service format reward dining in with several contrasting dishes.

The smaller plates move well beyond a token spring-roll selection. Pork and cabbage or pork and chive dumplings can be pan-fried or ordered in larger boiled portions, while shumai and prawn dumplings connect naturally with the yum cha service. Pepper-salt squid, barbecue pork and fried prawns add richer options. Cold cucumber salad, bean curd with celery and dressed black fungus provide refreshing, textured counterpoints before the heavier dishes arrive. Together, they make the opening course as varied as the mains.

Golden Time's house specials show the kitchen working confidently with whole fish and strongly seasoned hotpots. A spicy fish hotpot combines blue cod or basa with tofu, black fungus and vegetables, while another whole blue cod preparation uses pickled chilli and hand-pulled noodles. Barbecue lamb ribs, Peking duck, pepper-salt king prawns and fish braised with pickled cabbage give a group several distinctive centrepieces rather than forcing every shared meal towards the same sweet-and-sour profile.

The rest of the menu is unusually deep. Griddle dishes sit beside broad beef, lamb, chicken and pork sections, while vegetables and tofu receive numerous separate preparations rather than serving only as sides. Noodle soups, fried noodles, fried rice and boiled dumplings can form complete individual meals, and the choice of cheesecake or ice cream provides a simple finish. That range suits repeat visits as well as a banquet assembled to cover many tastes.
