Hapsun Souvlaki is a compact, fast casual restaurant in Unit 2 on Wairakei Road. Customers can eat on site as well as collect an order or have it delivered, and the service runs across lunch and dinner. The small format keeps the emphasis on quick meals rather than formal table service, but the range is broad enough for diners to choose far more than a single standard kebab.
Souvlaki remains the clearest place to begin. Chicken, lamb, beef and mixed meat versions pair hot pita with green salad, hummus, tomato, onion and garlic yoghurt, with chilli sauce available to adjust the heat. Those repeated accompaniments put the focus on the character of the grilled filling, while a falafel version gives vegetarian diners the same combination of bread, salad and sauces.
The core ingredients reappear in several useful formats. An open souvlaki spreads meat or falafel over flat pita, while the deluxe adds grilled capsicum, onion, mushroom and mozzarella. Kebab meals combine a chosen filling with salad and sauce plus rice, couscous or pita, and snack boxes place meat or falafel over fries. Meat on rice provides a simpler plate when bread or chips are not the priority.
Beyond souvlaki, Hapsun serves shawarma and tortilla wraps, fresh salads, beef and chicken burgers, wings and a Philadelphia steak sandwich. Curly fries, onion rings and jalapeño poppers build out the fried sides, while baklava and milkshakes bring a sweet finish. That spread makes the Burnside venue useful for mixed groups in which one diner wants a classic pita and another would rather order a burger or loaded snack box.
