Little Mexi carries forward the intimate Victoria Street cocktail den formerly known as The Dirty Land, keeping the same address while giving its identity a Mexican turn. The room still trades on atmosphere: red curtains, exposed brick, candlelight and a pressed ceiling create a darker, more enveloping alternative to a bright dining room. Service begins in the late afternoon from Tuesday to Saturday, placing the venue firmly in the territory of after-work drinks, date nights and evenings that can unfold gradually over food and cocktails.
The food is designed to accompany that social pace rather than demand a formal sequence of courses. Crispy fried chicken and adobo-marinated skewers offer robust opening bites, while loaded nachos make an easy centrepiece for sharing. Soft-shell tacos provide the clearest link to the Little Mexi name and let a table build variety without committing to one large plate. Golden churros bring a simple sweet conclusion, making it possible to shape the offering into anything from snacks with drinks to a complete Mexican spread.
Cocktails remain the defining language of the bar. The setting encourages guests to begin with a mixed drink and stay for another, while beer, prosecco, wine and spirits give groups enough alternatives to find their own rhythm. Taco Tuesday and other current promotions connect the drinks programme to the food rather than treating the kitchen as an afterthought. The combination is especially well suited to diners who want a lively evening built around conversation, shared plates and a considered bar selection.
Several distinct spaces allow Little Mexi to change scale for a gathering. The Red Room offers a close setting for a smaller party, while the Fire Room and heated deck open the experience to a larger group. A full-venue option extends that flexibility again, supported by Mexican food and platters from the adjoining operation. Those function choices preserve the moody personality of the original rooms, giving private celebrations a sense of place instead of moving them into a generic event suite.
