The Birkenhead Avenue kitchen operates from lunch into the evening every day, serving the dining room while also handling pickup and delivery. The all-day span makes it equally practical for an early lunch or an uncomplicated weeknight dinner. That flexibility suits a quick banh mi as readily as a seated bowl of noodles, with the same menu moving between snacks, lighter meals and more substantial plates.
Pho anchors the soup section. Beef and chicken versions combine rice noodles, onion, bean sprouts and coriander with broth, while a smoky beef variation sears the meat over flame for a deeper finish. Each version keeps the fresh garnish visible against the long-cooked broth and soft noodles. The signature Codo noodles take inspiration from bun bo Hue, filling a mildly spicy broth with brisket, medium-rare beef, pork hock, pork-and-prawn balls, duck blood pudding and rice vermicelli.
Banh mi and cold noodle dishes provide a brighter contrast. Grilled pork belly and lemongrass chicken baguettes are layered with pâté, pickles, herbs and sriracha mayonnaise, while a vegan tofu version uses hoisin in place of the meat filling. The baguettes concentrate those flavours into a portable meal, whereas the bowls spread them across fresh vegetables. Summer rolls, salads and Halo Bowls repeat those proteins with vermicelli, lettuce, herbs, pickles, crisp onion and peanuts, making it easy to choose between bread, rice paper and noodles.
The menu continues into rice dishes and smaller plates rather than stopping at pho. Lemongrass chicken, sweet-and-sour chicken and fragrant Vietnamese curries offer warming rice-based meals, while spring rolls, pork-and-chive dumplings and chicken siu mai suit a shared start. These choices let a table add crisp or steamed bites before the soups and rice arrive. Vegan rolls and tofu bowls receive their own clear treatment, and traditional Vietnamese coffee gives the meal a final flavour that feels connected to the rest of the kitchen.
