Beaufort + Co has served Oteha and the surrounding Albany neighbourhoods since 2020, combining an early opening cafe with an extensive catering operation. The dining room is built around fresh cabinet food, barista coffee and plated brunch, with Chef Kevin Blakeman bringing experience from kitchens in the United Kingdom, Europe and New Zealand. It is a flexible local venue: useful for coffee on the run, a weekend catch-up or a table settling in over a composed meal.

Breakfast moves well beyond the standard eggs-and-toast formula. The Beaufort Big Breakfast brings eggs together with bacon steak, mushroom, sausage, tomato, hash cake and ciabatta, while the Beaufort Benne places poached eggs and hollandaise over hash cakes with a choice of toppings. S'mores French toast takes a sweeter turn with house brioche, berry marshmallows, chocolate mascarpone and compote, and chilli scrambled eggs add goat's cheese, dukkah and pickled onion.

Later in the day, the menu broadens into bowls, pasta and salads. Red wine and espresso braised beef is served with pappardelle and manchego, while teriyaki salmon comes with brown rice, edamame, cucumber and avocado. The Philly steak bowl layers seared beef, capsicum, onion, mushroom and cheese sauce over rice. These sit beside lighter options and a rotating bowl of the day, giving lunch its own identity rather than treating it as an extension of breakfast.

Cabinet baking and catering are just as central to Beaufort's personality. Croissants, Danish pastries, muffins, scones and the cafe's signature weekend doughnuts provide a strong sweet and savoury counterpoint to the cooked menu. For larger occasions, the kitchen prepares grazing tables, canapes, salads, hot meals, boxed lunches and desserts, with formats that stretch from office orders to weddings. Pop-up dinners, high teas and workshops further extend the cafe beyond its regular daytime service.
