Little Manila brings Filipino cooking to the upstairs EATS food precinct on Willis Street, where a light-filled shared dining area turns a weekday lunch stop into more than a takeaway collection. The Wellington CBD branch trades through the working week and keeps the format quick and approachable, but its menu reaches well beyond a single signature dish. Diners can settle at the precinct tables, build a bowl to suit the day or choose one of the more traditional pork, beef and chicken plates.
The custom Buddha Bowl is the most flexible route through the counter. It begins with jasmine rice or noodles, followed by a choice of salads, two hot toppings and two sauces, so texture and flavour can change from one visit to the next. That structure suits a fast lunch without reducing the meal to a fixed combination, and it lets diners balance fresh components with something warm and savoury in the same bowl.
Filipino favourites give the menu its strongest identity. Tapsilog pairs grilled marinated beef with seasoned rice, a fried egg and Filipino slaw, while sizzling sisig brings pork, onion, chilli and lemon together under another grilled egg. Lechon kawali focuses on crisp pork belly; kare-kare sets that pork against peanut sauce and shrimp paste. Dinuguan takes a darker, sharper direction through vinegar and spices, while Bicol Express uses coconut milk and chilli for richness and heat.
The smaller street-food section makes it easy to add another texture or assemble a lighter order. Steamed pork buns, Filipino flatbread and sisig loaded fries sit alongside burgers filled with barbecue pork or tocino, egg and crunchy slaw. A whole crisp pork leg serves a more communal appetite, and Little Manila also accepts catering enquiries, extending the same repertoire to workplace lunches and gatherings beyond the Willis Street food court.
