Dillinger's Brasserie & Bar occupies the Midland Park edge of Lambton Quay, bringing an Art Deco mood and a hint of the Roaring Twenties to Wellington's central business district. It starts the weekday early with coffee and breakfast, then shifts into a brasserie and bar for lunch, after-work drinks and the evening. Sun-facing outdoor seating makes the park part of the experience, while the interior keeps the setting polished enough for a business meal. Live sport, a weekly quiz and happy hour give the venue a livelier rhythm once the workday begins to wind down.

Breakfast balances sweet dishes with substantial savoury plates. Cornflake-crusted French toast comes with fruit, maple and white chocolate, while Spanish-style eggs offer a warmer, spiced direction. The larger breakfast combines eggs, sourdough, tomato, crispy potato, bacon, a brisket croquette and relish in one plate. These choices suit very different starts to the day, from a quick coffee and something sweet to a full meeting over breakfast, and give the venue a useful role before its later brasserie and bar service begins.

Later service moves toward snacks, burgers and food from the grill. Mushroom arancini and brisket croquettes are easy to share, while chicken wings arrive with a savoury jerky-style sauce. Burger choices include beef, chicken and black bean, providing a plant-based route through a section that otherwise leans hearty. Pork belly with apple and mustard, scotch fillet with Café de Paris butter and salmon with sauce vierge bring a more composed brasserie character.
